Spit to Manly Walk is one of the most popular bush and coastal walks near Sydney. It is also known as Manly Scenic Walkway and is one of the most beautiful walks offering different views of the North and Middle Heads, passing by various kinds of beaches and parks.
Grotto Point Walk
Grotto Point Walk starts at the end of Castle Rock Track. There is an optional detour to Grotto Point Lighthouse as well. Grotto Point Walk is a lot flatter compared to Castle Rock Track.
Grotto Point Engravings
Not long from the start of this track is an optional detour to Grotto Point Engravings. This is a very short detour so I highly suggest taking this one and checking the engravings. The path here is elevated to protect the engravings on the rocks (I think they are limestones).

We backtracked to Grotto Point Walk and headed towards Dobroyd Head. Ahead are a lot of lookout points with views of Dobroyd and North Heads. A lot of walkers take photos here. Don't worry as there are a lot of lookouts for photo opportunities. The Crater Cove and Fairlight lookouts are some of the major ones.
View of Dobroyd Head
There is another detour on this path to Sydney's Secret Huts. I think this path is a moderately difficult one. At the end are old ramshackle houses that are no longer occupied today. We did not take this detour as we wanted to get to Manly Beach for lunch.

Here is a video of our walk from Spit Bridge to Dobroyd Head. My gopro ran out of space and I was not able to record the walk until Manly.
